Planning Our Wedding in Italy
Joanna and Dominic were so happy to share their story of how they planned their wedding in Italy. They met 10 years ago in the same class in Law School. A few stolen lunch times and finally Dom plucked up the courage by text to ask Jo out on a date. He redeemed himself by choosing her favourite restaurant in Leeds, Italian of course.
They share their love of travel and have been lucky enough to see much of the world. Italy means a lot to them as they had some special memories of their first holiday together and particularly the Tuscan countryside stole their hearts with its natural beauty and history.
They fell in love with their venue because it wasn’t shiny and new, it had character and plenty of rooms for their guests. In their own words, they summed up their wedding day:
“An absolute dream, our Italian fairy tale: to get married in such a beautiful setting under the Tuscan sun and have the whole weekend with our family and friends. The combination of the setting, the venue, the food, the people, the decoration, just everything. The ceremony was one of the most special moments we could have wished for”.
“Our guests particularly loved it, the celebrations spanned a whole weekend rather than just one day. We wanted it to feel magic and special, but also relaxed and we certainly achieved that. You can never really tell or see how it will all fit together until the day. It was better than we imagined, I cried when I saw my bouquet, my cheeks were sore from smiling and looking around taking in the atmosphere. We have never eaten as much food and seriously not having to worry about all the fine details, whether the suppliers were trustworthy, the language and the red tape required. Having a wedding planner as knowledgeable as Jayne was invaluable. Jayne, Thank YOU for all the invaluable and amazing support.”
